I really love this version of the 2 of Cups. It is from the Inner Child Tarot. It shows the experience of divine union with all levels of emotions and feelings. Everything is in sweet harmony.
To me it is in the (II) High Priestess that new potential begins to emerge from the unconscious. She is our link to the unconscious. With the 2 of Cups that potential shows up first as a projection of itself onto someone or something else outside ourselves. Unconsciously we are seeing what we want to see. We want everything to be in sweet harmony. Here we experience that initial "spark" of emotion, that first blush of love when all is good with the world. We are still seeing things through rose colored glasses. It is still in the beginning stages, far from the final outcome. All 2's represent a polarity of the initial raw energy of the Aces. 2's also represent balance. We need to rely on (II) H-P and (XI) Justice to help us balance out all this raw energy of water that flows through us when we meet the 2 of Cups. Water can be very powerful and uncontrollable, building up momentum and causing much destruction if not checked.
Gimel is the Hebrew letter for The High Priestess.
From 78 Steps, Cheri Arbuckle's website:
"Symbolic Meaning: camel, bridge
As the camel, Gimel brings the traveler from one place to another, in particular, the journey of a soul between the Divine realm and physical realm."
The 2 0f Cups is "Love"
By being in love (true love) one shares depths of emotion that can cause one to transcend their own ego and unite with the Divine. Ideally , a communion of souls forming a bridge like the high Priestess from the physical to the spiritual.

2. in the Two of Cups there is both male and female.... the High Priestess: feminine power, Goddess as Mother, balance between dark and lighjt, solitary spirituality
Justice: balance of vendication & fairness, earthlky judgement, take responsibilty for actions
3.the Two of Cups is a blend of male and female power, justice and wisdom
4. power, wisdom, justice prevail
5.the delicate balance between justice and wisdom is off kilter, one is too much and the other not enough...a not uniting

#2 The Two of Cups relates to the High Priestess in that when you meet someone and you really click, it's like you are seeing and feeling the very best in yourself and the other person. I have been told over and over the the personal love is just a glimpse of the Higher love.... You are seeing yourself and your reflection in someone else in perfect harmony... experiencing the bliss of unity. I think of this feeling as a time that you are fully experiencing yourself and someone else as a relationship of correspondences. I see that portal to the higher. I experience that when I'm sharing a glass of wine with a great friend. I tend to think of my best friend and how we relate to each other, and find ourselves through our relationship.... or my lover, when we are making plans about our future life together while taking a walk in the woods and feeling in love with life and each other. That feeling is just a glimpse of the mystery that the High Priestess represents. At her sides are the two pillars of the temple... black and white... yin and yang.... two full cups. The exploration of what is in those cups, relates to the water, serenity, and, mystery or the world behind her... through the veil.
#4 "My reflection in you is beautiful and shining. Your reflection in me is beautiful and shining."
#1 Post your favorite version of The Two of Cups on the Main Page - I posted the Steele Wizard Version
#2 How do you feel the Two of Cups relates to The High Priestess? Justice? - Oddly enough with drawing
the 2 of Swords recently I related it at that time to the High Priestess, first time I ever did that so it's easy
to see the 2 of Cups relating to the High Priestess, the Justice I find harder to relate to the 2 of Cups
#3 Give us a fresh perspective on The Two of Cups - The only fresh perspective I can think of with the 2 of Cups
is that it doesn't necessarily have to relate to a couple, it could be 2 friends, a person and a beloved pet, even
watch 2 pets frolicing together but for me with this cards it's always about harmony.
#4 Create a mantra for The Two of Cups - being unwell plus a couple of really hectic committments, I've not
been able to - I had 2 events one last Saturday, one this past Tuesday involving 200 plus people * being on the committee and having a big agenda for both it just drained me so maybe this one coming up
#5 What is your interpretation of The Two of Cups Reversed? - I at this point don't do reversals
Scamp :) Never feel pressure to complete the exercises. They are posted here for your enjoyment. I SO appreciate your participation and hopefully we can get the Temple active again. I reopened it during a Mercury retrograde so it may take a little while before participants return ;) Hope you're feeling better now!
Here are some of my thoughts on the 2 of Cups and Justice. Justice embodies karmic law, and using discernment in one's actions. This will happen if I do this.. Relationships one on one (2 of Cups) are a major way that we learn about ourselves, through "the other". Being in a conscious relationship, one works with Justice. Learning to give and take and accept responsibility for our actions. Learning to love and be in harmony as can only be taught through our emotional attachments. What relationship is in balance? There are intensely karmic relationships-actually all! But some have intense lessons to teach . Justice's scales are balanced h the big picture of our soul's evolution. Ultimately through lifetimes we learn to create balance in ourselves and work through karma by loving and sharing.
