Election 2008
Well I decided to do readings throughout the day on whether or not Obama will win. At 11:00 this morning I (originally) drew 3 cards using upright and reversed for yes or no. However after the drawing I decided I didn't like only using 3 cards for this, so went up to seven. I got:
4 Upright
3 Reversed
Yes, Obama will win, however as it was so even, I'd say it's not for sure yet.
4:00 I am using passive vs active as indicators. Passive suits Cups & Swords are no, active suits; Pentacles & Wands, are yes, Majors are no answer.
3 Active
1 Passive
3 Majors
Still no complete answer, but leaning towards yes.
8:45 I meant to do this again at 6:00, and ended up distracted. I'll draw 7 cards, male suits, Swords & Wands, are yes, and female suits Pentacles & Cups are no, majors are unknown.

2 Unknown
Still trending toward Obama, but again not a definitive answer. This is one of the reasons I like to do this type of question when I can see exactly what is happening, and then look at what I'm drawing. I do find it really interesting that all 3 have said Yes, he would win. This might be an indication not to really look at anything but the finish, meaning the most cards wins.
Well the cards proved out in this instance. We have a President who makes me proud in this moment to be a part of this country. To watch this incredible moment in history. To know that all those around me in this country were able to look past color at last, and elect the best person for the job.
