Dear Mr. Durbin,
Please do not break the hourly wage of the middle class any more by requiring the auto makers to break their hourly wage. People deserve to make a LIVING wage, and the auto workers are one of the last areas where a normal middle class person can get a job, and have the option a 1 parent working home. How does a family live on $12.00 an hour? They can't. Don't break the wage here, it has been broken, and beaten down in so many manufacturing plants. Everyone the world over deserves a living wage, we are joining the countries NOT paying one instead of being a leader to one. NAFTA must require FAIR trade with companies that pay a LIVING wage.
Sincerely,
Shari L. Smith
